Rentroom vs. Doorloop: Property Management Software Comparison
Making the right choice is imperative when selecting a property management software tool. At Rentroom, we understand that once you choose a software partner, get onboarded, and invite your tenants...chances are you and your business will stick with the product you select for an extended period.
At Rentroom, we believe we have the best product in the market; however, we are also keen to help you make an educated decision when researching and buying property management software.

Summary of Rentroom vs. Doorloop
In short, Doorloop is a formidable competitor to Rentroom. While we think they make a good product, we believe aspects of their system are slapped together. Without sound biased, there are several core features where Rentroom outcompetes:
- Native Integrations: Each integration in Rentroom is directly connected to the destination(QuickBooks, PandaDoc, Twilio, etc.), whereas Doorloop's integrations operate through Zapier(a "middle man" to connect disparate apps).
As a result, their chosen path makes their integrations far less reliable. Property management software is mission critical for property business. For owner-operators, property managers, and landlords who seek reliability with QuickBooks Online(for example), Doorloop probably isn't the right choice.
- Communication Center: With Rentroom, you can choose your phone number or port over your existing number. Additionally, every message you send through Rentroom is included. Doorloop charges per message fees can rack up quickly as your portfolio grows.
- Onboarding & Support: While this is not a product feature, potential buyers can easily overlook onboarding and support. The onboarding process through Doorloop(we've heard) can be hands-off and produce added costs(onboarding fees, fees for adding additional bank accounts, etc.).
At Rentroom, onboarding is free! We work diligently with our customers to provide the best service and ensure a smooth roll-out across your organization and tenants.
If you are in the market for property management software that:
- Doesn't create surprises by charging unexpected fees
- Scales as your business scales for one flat price
- Pay for the features you need - not by the unit
Don't just take our word for it!
[Rentroom] is easy because it was as if they designed the software with me in mind. It couldn't have been any different if I sat there and said this is the software package I need for my property management solutions. And they said, OK, we have this covered for you.
